I was on the phone yesterday with a client and she wanted some information about how a blog could help her business. It’s not uncommon to be asked about blogs these days, but we had a good discussion about why a blog is essential for her company. You can attend all-day seminars that cover blogging, but below are five reasons why every business with an online presence should have a blog.

Long Hollow Estates Identity
posted by Tim on March 5th, 2009
Though we have the experience of designing logos, style guides and identities, we’re typically positioned as the company that brings the vision to life on the web. However, when presented with the oppotunity to develop a logo and style guide for a new equestrian and open space-oriented home development in Warfordsburg, PA, we jumped at the chance. A quick escape from the beltways of Washington, DC and Baltimore, Long Hollow Estates is the essence of outdoor living, where home lots are few and open acreage is plenty. Kind of a Pottery Barn meets Sundance feel. There’s 45 acres of shared space, which means you can basically buy five acres and get 50, with room for riding and pasturing horses, days of fishing in a trout-stocked creek, and woods to explore with the family. Sounds like a great place to us, and we worked closely with the client to design a mark and style that captures the refined and rugged lifestyle.
